The way it works today

Your car stops. Then the guessing starts.

Three things go wrong at once, and every one of them costs you money.

  1. No help within reach

The car gives out where you are, not where it's convenient. In an unfamiliar road, with light fading, there's no trusted mechanic nearby and no quick way to reach one.

  2. You don't know what it should cost

The price arrives after the work does. There's nothing to compare it against, and by then the car is already apart.

  3. No verification, no recourse

Nobody has verified who this person is, and if the repair fails next week, there's nowhere to go back to.

It lands hardest on the people with the least room to argue: first-time car owners, newcomers, anyone caught out far from home.

How Revix works

Three steps, start to finish.

01

Step 1. Tell us what's wrong

Pick from a list: flat tyre, won't start, brakes, AC, or a routine service. Or just describe it in your own words. We show you the price for your car before you book anything.

02

Step 2. You choose your mechanic

You pick from verified mechanics nearby. Compare on rating, distance, and price, and see when each can reach you. Every identity is checked against national records, not a photo someone glanced at.

Step 3. Pay once the job is done

Your payment is held until you confirm the work is finished. Raise a problem and it stays held while we resolve it.

Trust & safety

The part we slow down for.

Everything else is built to be quick. This is built to be right: the amount, who's coming, and one clear action.

  • Every mechanic is verified

We check every mechanic's identity against national records before they take a job, and confirm the payout account is really theirs. No anonymous strangers.

  • The price is fixed before you book

You see what the job costs upfront. No roadside guessing. If the job turns out bigger, the extra needs your approval before any more work starts.

  • Payment is held until you're done

The mechanic only gets paid once you confirm the work is finished. If something's wrong, the money stays put until we sort it out.

  • No hidden charges

Labour and parts show as separate lines, so you see what each part really costs. Hiding a marked-up part inside one lump sum is how car owners get overcharged. We don't.

After every job, you and the mechanic rate each other. Both of you carry an SOS button, too.

Questions

FAQs

Something not covered here? Write to hello@revix.ng and a person will answer.

01How much does a job cost?

You always see the price before you book, never after. When you describe the problem, our system suggests a fair price for your specific car, and verified mechanics nearby respond with their own offers. You compare them on price, rating and distance, and pick the one that works for you. Nobody springs a number on you at the roadside, and nothing changes once the car's apart.

02What if the job turns out to be bigger?

The mechanic sends you a revised total with an explanation and a photo. Nothing extra happens until you approve it. If you'd rather not, they finish the job you booked and that's what you pay for.

03Who pays for parts?

You do, and you see exactly what they cost. Labour and parts appear as separate lines, at the vendor's own price. A marked-up part hidden inside one total is the most common way car owners get overcharged here, so we don't hide it.

04How do you verify a mechanic?

Before a mechanic can take a single job, we check their NIN and BVN against national records, and confirm the bank account they're paid into is really theirs. Then one of our agents visits their workshop in person to verify it. Anyone can upload a photo of an ID; we go and confirm the real thing.

05What if I'm not happy with the work?

Raise a problem in the app and your payment stops where it is; the mechanic isn't paid while it's open. A person reads what happened, looks at the photos and messages from the job, and decides. Not a form, and not an automated reply.

06When can I actually use it?

We're starting with the whole of Lagos, mainland to island, with a network of mechanics we've verified ourselves. Port Harcourt and Abuja follow once Lagos is running properly. Join the waitlist and we'll message you the moment it opens near you.

07I'm a mechanic. How do I get paid?

Straight into your bank account once the job is confirmed complete, usually the same day. The customer's payment is secured up front, before you start, so it's locked in and waiting for you; completing the job releases it. You see exactly what a job pays before you accept it, and if you drive out and nobody's there, you're still paid for the trip.

Be first
to use it.

We'll message you when Revix opens in your area. Nothing else.
